Celebration in White and Red

Though we mourn the earthly loss of our loved one, we celebrate his eternal life in Christ in white and red.

We are disappointed that we missed celebrating your upcoming 99th birthday with you at our annual family reunion this summer.

Nevertheless, we rejoice that we had you for the 98+ years as our Uncle Buddy -- looking out for our family, praying for us, and making us laugh.

And, most importantly, we rejoice that you are having the greatest family reunion ever with Jesus and all of our other ancestors in the heavenly throne room of Our Great Lord God Almighty.

We are thankful for your life here. Now go in peace and enjoy your eternal life over there.

Sunrise: Born November 12, 1910 in Dermott, Arkansas
Sonrise: Rested June 7, 2009 in Chicago, IL
98 Blessed Years of Life on Earth is now translated into
An Eternity of Life with The Lord Jesus Christ

His parents were Sherman and Nora Jones.
As the youngest of a host of siblings, he survived them all:
Vashtie, Bertha, Samuel, George, Alonzo, Maceo, and Isabella

He is survived by many beloved relatives and friends, including:

Ritza Green, niece
Samuel L. Smith, nephew
Carla (Walker) Smith, niece-in-law
Darrell A. Smith, nephew
Michael L. Smith, grand-nephew
Robert Moore, grand-nephew

Uncle Buddy's Funeral - June 15, 2009

Uncle Buddy's outer shell was laid to rest on June 15, 2009 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Chicago, IL.

And we are confident that Uncle Buddy's eternal spirit lives on in the heavenly kingdom, reunited with his Heavenly Father and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
